Perfect, except that I think in reality (and with the help of some hair dye) her hair colour was more like this photo used on one or more of her books:

I have visited Greenway several times. It's now National Trust and they have done a good job of keeping it authentic. You see her books, her bed, an early fax machine, and lots of archeological stuff relating to her husband. It is in a superb setting on the Dart river, in Devon.

Hi Richard....many thanks...

I was absolutely torn about hair colour....found some with the colour you have kindly provided and others with that kind of blue/purle was...
I have kept the psd file so easy to adjust.....must make time and try that.

Greenway sounds a fantastic place to visit.....just wish we were a little nearer...

Best wishes as always

I expect it was different colours at different times. The blue colour was a "blue rinse" which was very popular at the time. I remember my mother used to have a "blue rinse". See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_rinse
This has good examples of all the natural hair colours for reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_hair_color

Lovely colorization, Ray. And very interesting discussion of human hair colors, @Growltiger. I'm an "average" natural brown, now being helped a bit with colorization also!

That new version looks excellent.

Yes, we are fine, we are as careful as ever not to catch it.
