A few from last night (Friday) at the World Firework Championships in Blackpool, England.
Anyone who's not familiar with Blackpool, it's like Las Vegas .... erm without the heat or the glamour

    Thank you both

It's been a while since I was in Blackpool.
Two years ago to be exact and that trip was to see the fireworks.
There's lots of construction on the sea front, to enhance the sea defences etc.

  7. I always like to see fireworks shots with landscape included and these are very nice. Great job!

I agree, Vegas is the poor man's Blackpool
All beach and no sea view, I bet they cry themselves to sleep at night.

Very nicely done ! It took me a while to realize that #1 was a mirror image. Initially I was saying to myself you Brits need to teach Macys how to shoot Fireworks :)

  11. Great job. Could you comment a bit on your technique, please?

  12. superb!! I assume #1 is a mirror image in pp?

    Thank you Sir
I'm sure Macys spend more on fireworks in the first 30 seconds, that the 20 mins display at Blackpool

    Thank you
I set the camera up a tripod and used a shutter release cable.
The camera was set to manual focus, f8 and bulb.
I just guessed the exposure times, I always set the camera to display the image after it's been taken.

    Thank you
    You're right.
    I cropped the original image.
Rotated it on it's side, then duplicated it.
Doubled the canvas size in length.
Reversed the first image, then copied it to the duplicated image.
