Dear Nikon Z6ii Users,

I recently bought Nikon Z6ii after selling my D780 mainly because of the videos (as I was missing in built stabilization and 4k 60fps etc.)

After buying the Z6ii, I immediately updated the firmware to the latest version 1.20. While I was shooting FullHD 60fps, Eye AF OVERLAY was working but when I switched to 100fps and 120fps, Eye AF OVERLAY was not visible anymore. I was testing with my Z mount kit lens. I mostly shoot 100/120fps because in post production would like to slow it down to 25%. Now there is no focus confirmation at 100 and 120fps how can one depend on the autofocus?

Can you please confirm whether you have noticed this issue and if there are any workarounds? Do you know if Nikon is planning to release a fix for this?

Thanks,

BUT I did get 2 emails from Nikon, one for the Z6 and one for the Z7.

Yet I received no email for my Z6, probably because I bought it used from a Nikon Cafe member and don't have it registered with Nikon. Thanks for letting us know about the updates!

EDIT: Now that I've seen the issue being fixed, I won't even bother doing the update, as I've never experienced the described issue.

Updated my Z6 II without any issues. Very curious about the rumored focus tracking enhancements.

TBH, I had my D850 out for the first time over the weekend. I missed the yellow EVF focus confirmation I get with the Z series.

I got an email for an update for my Z5 this afternoon. From the description it sounds the same as what was done with the Z6 and Z7 as far as the "possible loud noise" with the FTZ adapter.
