Discussion in 'Birds' started by sbuttrick, Jul 8, 2005.

  1. Hi Folks,
This is my 1st shot at birds, of course I had to choose one that's about the size of a big fly.

    300mm f4 W/ TC1.4 at ISO 400
    Image is a 100% crop

Come on Scott, tell the truth, you have been photographing hummingbirds for several years now...
I bet you taught Uncle Frank didn't you? :)

    Nice photo...
(and to Uncle Frank.. I was just kidding about him teaching you... )
  5. I bow to Uncle Franks greatness when it comes to bird pics.

Very nice Scott. I'm jealous. I put up feeders almost two weeks ago and still no hummers. I'm also very impressed.

Wow, just don't know how one can even get one in the view finder.

I don't have any in my area.
  8. I sat for an hour before I got a few shots. She came in 3 times, but was always on the back side of the feeder. Finally after an hour she fed from the side.
  9. Now that you got your feet wet it is onward and upward. Good first attempt.
