This was my first photo shoot involving a car, and its my friends Citroen Saxo VTS, in black, which has been lowered, and looks rather good.
They were all taken in the same parking space at the multi-storey in Weymouth, UK.

Not a planned effect, but the blue looks great, and the shadow from the flash above both looks good and not. The concrete looks lke dust, or gravel, and the white roof is quite a contrast.

Yeah, I used the tripod on some of them, and WB was set to AUTO, because im not sure how to use it properly. And the blueish one, I really liked, and wouldve done more, if the white balance was set right. Thanks.

Are you using the stock flash on the camera?? Instead of using the flash have a longer exposure time. And white balance is a little tricky but kinda play around with it because sometimes auto just doesn't like to play nice.

1. Always wash the vehicle before taking in any pictures of it.
2. If it is a choice between tire and wheel (rims), the wheel always wins. Meaning, viewing the wheel is more pleasing to the eye then the tire tread.
3. Another approach you can try using is a foot stool and take a few shots from overhead.

Okay, thanks guys.
It wasnt washed because it was a test shoot, to see how things went.
I was suing an external flash, my botched eva blitz on 4ft cord.
I tried some longish shots, 14secs? And firing off the flash manually in differnet places.
Ill have a go at lightpainting it next time...And manual WB, thanks.
