First Ever Bluebirds

I was out yesterday morning hoping to shoot some seabirds when several bluebirds landed in the bushes nearby. Never being one to thump a free melon I took a few shots.

D850 w/500mm PF handheld. Shot in DX mode and still had to crop to about half frame.

1) First ever shot of one so I wasn't picky about the head angle.

2) OK a little better.

3) Kept this one in the VF until my arms got tired but I couldn't move and she never would give a better angle. I like the way her feet are holding the tip of the branch.

4) And a LBB got close enough to get shot too. The bit of lichen is not quite perfectly placed as it left the eye exposed :mad:
