First Iris to bloom in our Garden

  1. Today the first ever Iris blossom decided to unfold in our Garden. What a pretty sight.

    That's such a nice reward, after "working" the whole Saturday in the Garden and catching a bad Sunburn on my neck......I guess I'm a real redneck now? :Crunk:

    If I remember right, I went to school with an Iris McGee that was pretty homely! :wink:

    I have to agree with everyone.. very nice... my purple ones are close.. but the yellow just opened today..will post some soon.. again great job..
     
  9. What a splendour!

    Our first Iris's bloomed more than a month ago, but it was a dwarfish species. The big ones (white) do not even show flower buds yet.
