I also ran accross these two:

Induced species. The local park rangers pick them up and "dispose of them" so I just didn't tell them. She looks like she's been around for a while. Tough call.

Another induced species, but they don't try to eradicate them.

I like this camera.

Nice shots Jeff...any idea why the rangers dispose of the turtles?

They are killing the local species. They also out breed them 3 to 1. Additionally, this is a nesting area and the Snappers, without anything but Blue Herons to eat the young, they are taking many young water fowl.

Since it is an induce species, it really is a management issue.
