The sun was out and right over head, but since I skipped out of work early today to play with this lens it didn't matter. I grabbed Bailey and we headed to the park.

Gee Todd, well done. Bailey is a doll and you were fortunate to capture her moods at the time. Lovely images of a cute girl. Great lens you have there.

Now we're talking! Good stuff, Todd. Nice bokeh for a short lens, and contrast and colors it delivers are exceptional... though I may be a little prejudiced ;).

Were you surprised by the size of the Beast?

I don't see how you could justify owning the 17-55 and the 28-70. That'd be a tough one to explain to your wife .

But the 28-70/2.8 would fit pretty nicely between your 12-24 and 70-200 :p  8).

Hehehe.

Man it's like the 17-35mm on steroids

It's a honey of a lense, Todd. And if you're ever in trouble it doubles as a tire iron to stave off your attacker.

OK Todd (you too UF and Rich), no more 28-70 posts for one full year (that's 12 months guys)!!!!

If you do, I'm going to have to poke out my eyes with a sharp stick. It would be cheaper and less painful than what Janie would do to me if I even mention another lens before then. 8)

Great images Todd.

Dave, what you want to bet that they just post more now. 8)

Todd, I meant to mention that your little girl looks absolutely nothing like you.

Actually, she's a spitting image, just cuter.;-)
