Nice series of shots, and congrats on the 300 2.8.
Not having an zoom will become less of an issue as you see the results when using this lens. When the light gets dim, then you will see this lens really perform, especially with the D3.

I already notice the sharpness and colours out of the camera vastly different - and I will need to be very careful with any USM (these are close to over)
