I have never posted here before, but I plan to post more in the future...

I love birds, and I have photographed a few birds here in Iceland, But the longest lens I have is the 18-200 VR, which isn't the best lens for bird photography :/

    And a Meadow Pipit

I know these aren't very sharp, and I plan to buy a better lens for bird photography...

  2. Considering the lens I find these excelent pictures. Sharpness is a bit lacking but some post processing might solve this a bit. Otherwise colours and composition are all great.

I think you got terrific shots considering the lens length you used. The colors are vivid and most have sharp details.

Thanks guys! These were processed more than a year ago when I didn't know anything about post processing... And they were not sharpened at all... just contrast and shadow highlights.

    Thanks again!

  5. Very nice series Joe... especially the Grey Phalarope.

  6. These are very pleasing Joe......well done.

  9. Wow, I can't wait to see what you will get with a longer lens when you got such good shots with an 18-200! Your last shot is beautiful of the Meadow Pipit. Keep up the excellent work and I look forward to seeing more of your bird shots.

Nice, Joe! Finally posting after 9 months is awesome!

I love the blur effect on the tern wings in the first tern shot.
