First Shots from 14-24/2.8

Discussion in 'Lens Lust' started by craig.martell, Sep 10, 2008.

  1. All three @ 14mm. I am not yet sure if this lens is for me. With the 17-35, there is plenty of range that is not distorted. With this lens, I spent a great deal of time trying to deal with the distortion, or getting an effect I liked.

I definitely like the color and sharpness though:

  2. Taken with a Tokina 12-24mm f/4

I tried the Nikon 14-24/2.8 but stayed with the Tokina

  3. Oh my, it's a small world... My wife and I were just there in May. We spent about 3 or 4 days playing in the Monterey, CA area. My wife (Pam) went nuts seeing the sign that said she was standing on the fault line!

It is amazing once one gets used to it. Keep shooting.
  5. @Kap, let me know the next time you are in the area. I live two miles from that statue.

@Barisaxer, do you have any examples? Particularly of people?
