    Thanks Nute..

All hand held. It's one of those lenses with a special mojo to it. I see why others have said it really has it's own look. Great for shooting people. Great for candid's. Marvelous bokeh at 2.8, probably better than my 85 1.8. I love the colors and contrast it produces.

Great shots. I just picked up my second copy. Makes me wonder why I got rid of the first one.

It does kinda rock, doesn't it?

I fell in love with the 180/2.8 30 years ago and still wouldn't be without one.

You're gonna have a lot of fun!

  11. The Nikon 180mm F2.8 is a classic. Compact enough and great bokeh. Handles like a 135mm even on a flash bracket.
It seems to take a back seat to the 70-200 but I don't need the zoom.

Of those four shots mine too. That shot was later in the day and the lower sun helped out on that picture, gave it more of a golden tone.
Or....maybe it's just the subject

It gets pretty dreamy. I like it! Or maybe "The Express" ....cuz I won't be leavin' home without it!

Nice work FJG. I also like this lens for street portraits.

I loved my Nikon 180's so much that when I ventured over to the dark/bright side, one of the first lenses I picked up was the Canon equivalent (200 2.8L USM). The Canon's just a tad shorter, also has a slide-out hood, and has much faster AF. Haven't used it enough to judge its bokeh, but it is razor sharp on the snaps around the house.
