congrats FJG ...wonderful captures ...;-))
Thanks Nute..

Nice sharp pics. Looks like a great lens.
You using a tripod.
All hand held. It's one of those lenses with a special mojo to it. I see why others have said it really has it's own look. Great for shooting people. Great for candid's. Marvelous bokeh at 2.8, probably better than my 85 1.8. I love the colors and contrast it produces.

The Nikon 180mm F2.8 is a classic. Compact enough and great bokeh. Handles like a 135mm even on a flash bracket.
It seems to take a back seat to the 70-200 but I don't need the zoom.

I like #3 the best! :D
Of those four shots mine too. That shot was later in the day and the lower sun helped out on that picture, gave it more of a golden tone.
Or....maybe it's just the subject

Nice work FJG. I also like this lens for street portraits.

Wonderful shot stephen! Great example of this lens!

Very nice shots. I think you just put this lens at the top of my lust list.
Well ..it's only fair! It's what others on here did to me

I loved my Nikon 180's so much that when I ventured over to the dark/bright side, one of the first lenses I picked up was the Canon equivalent (200 2.8L USM). The Canon's just a tad shorter, also has a slide-out hood, and has much faster AF. Haven't used it enough to judge its bokeh, but it is razor sharp on the snaps around the house.
