First try

    Hi all,
    This is my first try at blending several versions of the same pic for different exposures. Trying to save detail in both the highs and lows in B&W
    The selection edges have really ragged unpolished edges, but I wasn't concerned about that.
    This is three different passes through the RAW converter for exposures. One for the stone and front facing wood. One above the bannister. One below the porch.
    I like higher contrast B&W with lots of tonal range. Did I keep enough detail in the darks? Are the areas of blown highlights too distracting?
    Got enough pop without being overly contrasty?
