Went to Mercer Arboretum and Gardens on Father's Day to see what was in bloom and what the place was like. Temps in Houston have been in the mid to upper 90s F with NO rain since first of June, so I didn't expect much.

I did find a number of nice daylilies in bloom and have a few shown below. Appreciate any comments or feedback -- I usually shoot birds and animals and haven't done much with flowers. Did learn that it's nice that they don't move around like my other subjects!

All shot with 70-200 f2.8VR and D2H, in bright, mid-day sun.

Thanks, Gale. I had to really stop down the lens on these shots to avoid blown highlights, so I didn't get to take as much advantage of the 70-200's great bokeh as I wanted. But the colors seemed to turn out okay.
