Fishing in Colorado (not quite what you would expect!)

I got up early this morning and caught a few shots of 'fishing'.

Most of Colorado lakes are for irrigation. As the snow melts, they start to fill the lakes that have been emptied the previous summer for crops.

The big one that did not get away. It took 4 tries at swallowing, but that big ole' fish went down.

These captures are GREAT! What lake did you find these pelicans? I've been chasing...and I do mean chasing....pelicans in Windsor at Pelican Lakes. Everytime these guys see me they swim away, and my lens is just not long enough to get a decent photo of them. Thanks for sharing your pelicans.
