Beautiful! I love it!

Thanks Stefani!

Very pretty, Chad. What was the background that it went so dark for you?

Thanks Aaron! The black is PS - I shot it to black out, but the original zoo BG was not bad at all thanks to the birds distance from the BG and shooting at 200mm/f2.8.

Very nice ... wall hanger

Thanks West! As a matter of fact I have a 11X14 on my wall right now.

Nice contrast with background, poster image.

Thanks! That was the intent and the bird cooperated.

Awesome! Very well done!

Thanks Alex!

Beautiful details. Tried that at the Jacksonville zoo, but the lighting was terrible when I arrived at the flamingo area and I was with company.

Great job!

You did good. This is a wall hanger in my book. Bravo!

Great job!

Thanks Eddie! I got lucky - overcast day and few people so I could use a flash and control the light.

Very artistic take on this one. Beautiful

Thanks Rich!

Terrific pose, Chad. Did you simply move the blacks to the right for the BG?

Thanks Eric! I took about 30 shots to get just that look.

Initial RAW processing in CNX2, then I masked the bird with Topaz Remask in CS5 (took a while) and blacked the BG with a paintbrush. A touch of Topaz Detail & Adjust got the bird to look the way I wanted. the nice thing is that it turned out exactly as I envisioned and looks great on the wall.

I hung it opposite of this shot in the hall.
