I'm looking for a flashlight that I can use at night to add direct light on a 'product' subjects. I was thinking about generic flashlight but wondering if there is photo dedicated lights used in video/photo graphy.
flashlights tend to have a pattern to the light beam unless you put something over the front lens (shine a normal flashlight against a wall to see what I mean) also the lowel light is a lot more powerful that most normal flashlights
the Eagletac p20a2 is what I use for field macros--the 200+ lumen output is more than adequate, and it includes diffusers in various colors. Since the LED on this one has a warmer output it tends to mach daylight much better than some of the blue-er ones. While not a ring flash by any means it is great in a pinch and if you must carry a flashlight for hiking this one is perfect since it works quite well as a macro light. Yes it is rather expensive but for the power/size ratio it is actually a good bang for the buck.
