this was vacation so D300 + 300/4 + TC or 80-400
if I was at home I would have used the 300 2.8 + TC instead of the 300/4 but the 80-400 is my always my #1 zoo lens....
The D3 doesn't get used for wildlife often but the Raptor Center (today) is one of the places I use it with the 80-400

all but the parrot were shot w/ a D300 + 300/4 + TC
the parrot was shot w/ a D300 +80-400vr
