Florida scrub jays

They are on the endangered list. On reason may be (I am just guessing) is that they are so friendly. They will come in close, hoping you will feed them. If they don't get food quickly they will sit on your shoulder or head.

nice set with impressive feather detail

I remember shooting them with Jesse (the Bittern whisperer) and Alex....Jesse held peanuts in her mouth and the scrubbies would fly over, hover, and grab the peanut. I wonder if Alex remembers

As Randy said, awesome detail. Most small critters that don't fear larger carnivorous ones have a bleak future.

Pretty close. After a few minutes they left, realizing I guess that I did not have food.

That third shot is a killer, superb detail.
Quite pleased with the camera lens combination.

It’s been said before but I’ll tack my opinion onto them as well; the detail is superb on these. Such clean shots. The selfie was my favorite though haha. That is a whole story in and of itself!

I remember that day Randy. That was in 2009.
That was awesome. Still have the pictures.
