Flowers with the D200

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by virtuamike, Dec 19, 2005.

  1. The lighting's been flat and the weather's been ugly the last 2 days. Wind, rain, no sun, etc. Considering the conditions though I'm pretty happy with the shots so far. They'll only get better.

  2. Hi, Mike! Nice set of artistic macros. I like #2 the best, but I'm having a problem finding merit in #1. To my old eyes, it looks like a severe case of camera shake. Care to you explain why you prize it?

  3. Think the softness is more from DOF than from camera shake. Petal detail is notoriously hard to capture when shooting flowers, especially in white ones. Gotta have good exposure control and lighting knowledge to pull it off.

    100% crop.

  4. I love the last one. I am a sucker for bokeh.
