Another focus stack. Not sure what it is, a tall spindly weed in my back yard that has a small yellow flower, then I swear within minutes it look like this.

Same flower, different views. Helicon Focus, 34 frames, Nikon Z7.

Another member of the Compositae (Daisy) family in flower at the moment is Leopard's Bane (Doronicum) so these attractive photographs might be the seeding-head from that plant?

Concerning Dandelions:
I adore them. My lawn was a golden carpet of them a week ago but now it is a carpet of blue Ajuga and golden Buttercups.
Only after the flowers have gone to seed will the lawn get mowed.

(Chemlawn have never been allowed to set foot on this place!)

We are getting close for the Daisy family. The flower was less than 1" across. It went to seed overnight, that's the pictures I took.

Beautifully done!
Thanks Allan.

It maybe a Agoseris or a Leontodon (mountain dandelion). I;ll do some more, er, digging.
We are closing in. Here is a picture of the plant, scrawny as it is.
