I don't recall his name, but this skier had a remarkably focused facial expression throughout his slalom runs. Clearly a determined competitor who was an excellent skier.

these are as good as they can be Mitch, good choice of aperture and SS and wow that florida sun, 1/8000 at ISO 200 :)
and that lens is ridiculously great, I miss mine (Bobby shoots it now)

Thanks, Randy. I always enjoy shooting that lens. It worked great on the judge's tower. Sitting with a monopod I was able to easily swivel around quickly to follow the skier along the parabolic path. The light was quite variable with some clouds so I had to keep a watch on my settings to avoid blowing highlights. Still had a few shots at 1/8000, :eek: but who wants to stop that lens down?
