Critique Foggy scenes in color

I posted a monochrome photo of a tree in the fog at https://www.nikoncafe.com/threads/tree-in-mist.317929/. These color photos were captured in the same outing. They are displayed in the order they were captured to display the effect of the fog gradually burning off.

I also agree that #2 is the best. Anyone know how it comes to be that the grasses are so very different on the two sides of the fence and that neither one seems to encroach on the other one? The field on the left side is used for cattle to graze but I don't know about the field on the right.
