For some reason SNOOPY pops in to my head
Very nice shot BW. Exactly where were you when you took this picture??
Well, Frank, it was long before GPS, so I can't really say.....also, those documents are still considered classified, even after 87 years!!! Let's just say somewhere in the South of France........(disguised as Hudson Valley,NY)
I was flying along side in a DeHavilland Tiger Moth. The triplane would fly along side, slightly behind so I could get a clear shot past the wings of the Moth. I shot several rolls (that old film stuff) with the F5 during the 10-15 minute flight. We went up at the end of the day for that warm light and to cool down, the open cockpit is great on hot days. The triplane would change position, roll from side to side, climb, etc. We would turn around and head North doing the same thing, so I have shots facing the other way.
Wonderful shot. Love the old planes.
