I am hoping for some blue skies when I see em next, last year was a bust for skies fogy and grey, and I only had my lowly 180 2.8 on this day, all the other days I had my 200-400VR, but of course they drop in on the wrong day....

Posting my pics since they can't compare to yours

After I took this last shot I took down my lens and missed the huge pressure wave when they got close to the barrier,  missed it by about 5 seconds.....

Super job on your photos! Just super....

    Very beautiful Bay:>))
  4. Good sequence there Commodore. I know if I had a 200-400, it would have been strapped to by back and gone everywhere with me!

I'm sure you'll get the shots you want this year.

If we all take the "perfect" shots in one show, what's the fun in looking forward to the next one? I know I'm still looking to add a few B-1B and B-2 bombers to my collection.

Baywing, the F-22 demo was cut short due to a faulty sensor on one of the engines. There weren't enough passes for me to get any sharp shots, unlike yours!

Oh well, right after that show, I made a mental note to be sure and attend the NAS Oceana in September. I'll get a keeper of the F-22 even if I have to spend 16 hours on the road round trip to do it!!

Here are a few of mine from the JSOH at Andrews in May. We had a cloudy overcast day but it made for some great vapor shots.
    These were all shot with a D70 and 70 - 200 VR with 1.7TC.

    NIKON D70    ---    340mm    f/4.8    1/1000s

    NIKON D70    ---    340mm    f/4.8    1/1600s

    NIKON D70    ---    340mm    f/4.8    1/1250s

    NIKON D70    ---    340mm    f/4.8    1/2500s

    NIKON D70    ---    340mm    f/4.8    1/2500s
