Number 5 to my eye, best of the lot, might be my iPad, or lower resolution files, but some of the fort only photos could be a touch sharper (walls of fort).

This set took me back to those "Cowboys and Indians" films of my childhood.

I like the pictures where the post processing has been "turned down" a bit and you lost those haloes and the lighter patch around the tree in the first shot. The Compositions are all very nice.

I've never experienced that at this forum. Instead, I was referring to the sharpening that is added by the photographer when dramatically downsizing an image, such as when preparing an image for display here.

I was remembering this thread, Mike: https://www.nikoncafe.com/threads/f...ing-resizing-process-for-forum-images.313798/

When the uploaded image is 1600 or less, nothing is done by the forum. Image remains as it is.
When it is larger, the forum software will downsize, including sharpening.

I think I will sound a bit different from the majority Karen. I really like #1 , the composition is very nice and your processing made the image very moody. #4 and #5 are nice too but those images don't have the same mood. I also like #2 , nice processing and compostion. I find #3 a bit overcooked... too much contrast for me.
