I've never experienced that at this forum. Instead, I was referring to the sharpening that is added by the photographer when dramatically downsizing an image, such as when preparing an image for display here.
Great memory, Bart! I didn't remember that thread even as I reviewed it even though I participated in it. That thread explains why I've never observed a change in my images displayed here, as I always display photos smaller than 1600 pixels.
I think I will sound a bit different from the majority Karen. I really like #1 , the composition is very nice and your processing made the image very moody. #4 and #5 are nice too but those images don't have the same mood. I also like #2 , nice processing and compostion. I find #3 a bit overcooked... too much contrast for me.
