Very cool. Agree, the contrast in textures b/n wood floor and brick is great. Is that flash reflecting on something at the center, or light from outside? Would love to know what this room is used for.

The light is from outside. The rooms in the fort were used for storage, sleeping quarters, dining area, weapons locker, etc. This particular room had no signage of specific function. Regardless of function each room had the same basic window arrangement for defending the fort.

The outer berm and top of the fort had mounted cannon's for defending the coast and Beaufort Inlet.

I like the textures in the room image a lot. The outside shot is superb too. Terrific B&W processing.
