Frames Per Second Question D70s

Discussion in 'Nikon DX DSLR Forum' started by accurateshot, Apr 1, 2007.

  1. It appears to me that when I shoot RAW the camera is faster, frames per second that is, than when I shoot Fine JPEG's. Am I imagining this or is it true.
  2. I think you're imagining it.
  3. I tested and it seems the same to me
  4. Is there any way to test other than one's subjective impression while clicking away?
  5. It should actually slow down shooting RAW after the buffer fills. This is one reason why I upgraded to the D2H & D200. The D70...and I think the D70s does 3fps for up to 12 jpg, but maybe only 6 RAW and then it slows down quite a bit.
