After the Green Mountain Hike we headed over to the Harmony Park Safari. It's a really cool place where they have free roaming animals. They pride themselves on being cage-free. There is a camel, a zebra, lots of peacocks, alligators (they are actually in a fence), a variety of oxen, a buffalo, goats, rams, deer, a weird looking horse, emu, ostrich, and many, many, many other facinating creatures. You pay per person and can stay as long as you like, as long as you stay in your vehicle...not a problem for me....The first time we went, the Camel got a little frisky w/me when my window was down....Ever since, I'm V-E-R-Y careful! They kids love it as much as we do. Enough of my introduction....here are a few shots from yesterday's visit...

    My father-in-law and the Camel!

Wow what a wonderful variety. Love the camel pic.

Check out thoses stripes. Cool shot

That OX (?) is really beautifully marked and colored. Never seen one like that.

And sometimes it would just be nice to be a turtle. lol

I got a pic of the ugliest turtle i have ever seen yesterday. Up close.

Zebra is the one. i always liked using a portion of a subject to portray the entire subject. mmmmm maybe thought for one of our challenges.

I had to add a "me too" -- that zebra shot is as close to perfect as you could possibly get.

I think it would be sellable as a print or poster...
  9. Leigh, ditto on the Zebra.
