From Juanita Bay, testing repaired lens

Discussion in 'Birds' started by RonS, Dec 31, 2005.

  1. Also testing my long-lens technique. First chance to test my repaired Sigma 500mm F/4.5. Seems to work fine.

It's our rainy season here on the west side of Washington State, but I managed to sneak to Juanita between rain episodes. No sun so the colors are a bit muted.

All are cropped a bit and Neat Image applied.

  2. Wood Ducks in B&W?? Why?

I really like the 2nd GBH!

  3. No sun, no colors in the Woodies. Seems sacrilegious, but I thought I would try B&W on them.

    Thanks.

  4. I like it but the first thing I thought was what I wrote!!

What framing action are you using, it looks great!

  5. Obviously your 500mm Sigma is working great. Nice images

  6. They are Fred Miranda frames. Easy to apply, I am using them with CS2.

  7. Thanks Gordon. New lens, but came with a loose "joint" at the point just ahead of the filter rotating ring.

  8. Glad to see you got the lens back and it is working Ron. Now if you could only get some sun to go with it!!! I have not been to Juanita for a month and I am getting withdrawls for sure. Nice job, but the Woodys need color!! Bring on that sun will you.
