Virginia's heavy dew picture of the spider web reminded me of one from about 5 years ago.

This thing was at least 3 feet high and covered in frost. I was stepping out to get the morning paper and there it was anchored to a rhododendron and the edge of the house next to the door. The weight of the frost is causing the sag. I ran in the house, picked up the first camera I could find - an F3 that only had two frames left. This is from a flatbed scan of an 8x10 print. One of these days I mean to scan the negative. I think maybe it expected a steak for breakfast!

Thanks Virginia, Gordon and Gale. As you can guess, I had to scramble fast to catch it before it melted. In fact by the time I got another camera with more film, it had already melted.
