Fuji 100-400/1.4 TC and Osprey Pics

My Fuji 100-400 with the 1.4 TC arrived today. I used the combo with my x-t1 for a quick birding session. This is the longest length I have had besides my Sigma 120-300 and 2.0 TC.

I can't comment at the moment about the IQ of the lens without the TC nor how it performs with BIF's as this osprey was stationary. I will say there were osprey over the lagoon trying to catch fish but they were so far away that it wasn't a good test.

Anyway I would say the IQ is pretty good. I believe all were shot at F8.

Those certainly look sharp. I look forward to seeing more and with the TC.
Once you have got used to it, it would be good to see some 100% crops to get an idea of exactly how sharp it is.

They look reasonably sharp. John, is #6 a crop, and if so, how much? (100%?) You really nailed the eye.

6 is almost full frame. I cut off the beak as shot so cropped in a bit tighter since I was going for an eye shot anyway.
