Nikkor 70-200mm VR with Kenko 2x, hand held - 1/1250s f/5.6 at 400.0mm
Oh my John, that is about as good as it gets - georgeous!
Excellent detail in this shot John. Way to go.
As already said - as good as it gets.
All the best
I hadn't realized you could achieve that with the 70-200 and the TC. Nicely done John.
And, hand held.... very nice.
Nice shot John...
As for the comment about being handheld, I sure would hope that we all could hand hold our cameras at 1/250th of a second.
Very cool! I would love that exact image with a jet plane flying through the moon...that would be awesome.
Beautiful shot, John. Which model Kenko 2x did you use? I am considering the purchase of one myself. Thanks.
I am using both kenko 300 pro 1.4x and 2x, working very good with AFS and VR lenses and much cheaper than Nikon brand.
Very simple task, may be take 15 min with Photoshop
I am even did handhald at 1/15 sec night shot  and the pictures was very good. I don't like tripod at all, to hassle to bring it with me even I got carbon fiber one.
Thank you John!
