I grew up fishing and surfing near Marineland, FL, between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. This weekend featured two days of fun, clean waves. I got out of the water in time to get a few shots with the 500/4, handheld.

1. I don't know this guy but he was getting lots of waves.

Wondrful shoots and glad you got a chance to get some waves.
Back in 71/72 when I lived in Winter Park I use to go to Cocoa and surfed the south side of Canaveral Pier. That was when Ron Jon’s was just a small surf shop. Loved those clean and glassy 3-4 ft days.

Thanks. The Cocoa Beach area got slightly bigger surf than we did because of the swell direction. I still drive down there to surf when the water gets colder.
