Fuzzy Yellow Bug +2

  1. I see these around and think they are rather pretty... don't know what it is, but it's yellow and white and red and rather fuzzy...

  4. Beautiful shots. The beetle is a ground beetle (Carabidae) of the subfamily Scaritinae, genus Pasimachus.

    Wow, I just love these shots. How are you able to get that close without disturbing the little critters? Thanks!
  7. Well... the butterfly was a bit difficult and if you look really close... yes... he is sitting on fresh dog poop!!! Which really was not pleasing as my nose was about three inches from it. Tried my best to shoo him on to better landing spots but he insistently kept returning to the stinky poo.

    And.. both the beetle and caterpillar were.... dead. I found them that way, I did not kill them, but it gave me a good photo-op to set them up and shoot ;) 

    So now you know my secret :p
