Gator at 300mm

  1. Not the greatest demonstration of my new 300 f4 but one of the first photos I took with it once I got home from work today. Notice what's on top of the gator's right eye! This was in the pond in our neighborhood. He looks menacing but he's only about 18"-24" in length.

  2. The damsel fly really give scale to this gator.

What big eyes you have Grandma....lololol

    Great catch Kevin.

    Thats just to cool :>))
  4. That is spooky!! That is why I don't like to go to the edge of the water anywhere there might be a Gator or a Croc!! :D :D :D :D
  5. Thanks Gordon and Gale. I missed the shot when the gator winked to brush off the damsel fly but I was happy to get a few while he was landed. :)
  6. Hi Bryan,
He really looks much larger than he actually was. I saw him from across the pond but thought it might just be a stick. He was just a baby but you know there's a momma and daddy somewhere in the area. No trapsing through the woods for me.
