GBH Rookery

  1. I visited a GBH rookery last week with eng45ine (Frank) and had a blast. I really have to give him all the criedit because I would never have known about it without him. I got some good shots on Friday with Frank but I have to say I got some even better ones on Sunday without Frank, sorry Frank it's nothing personal. I got there at the crack of dawn and it paid off. The only downfall of the excursion were the ticks. I found three on myself later that day. So enough babbling here are the pics.

    GHO returning to the nest.

Here's my bonus shot. I was standing there watching the birds and decided to look behind me to wee if any birds were flying in and what is walking directly towards me? A coyote. He got pretty close before he noticed me and took off in the opposite direction.

  4. Would you believe me if I said just outside Chicago? I'm beginning to realize there is a lot more wildlife here than I thought. It's just hard to find at times.

  5. Thanks Gale. I don't post much but I'm always watching  .
