From the Chattahoochee River on Saturday...

Ahh...let's just go for a dip instead as it's hot out here.

Of course now he has to dry off again...time to fluff.

Thanks Jimmy...I need a longer lens though as these are heavily cropped. I just sold the 70-300 VR and picked up a 300/4 (non af-s though). Hopefully this will help.

You sold my favorite lens. That is the only one I use for birding and wildlife.

I used to like the lens, but was growing tired of having slower shutter speeds as I always seemed to find myself at the maximum aperture at 300mm. Once I bought the 80-200 I used it more than the 70-300 VR as it just allowed me more flexibility with the shutter speed than the 70-300 VR did even though it wasn't as long. I am really lusting for a 300/2.8, but for now I bought a used 300/4 to see if the extra stop of light will help me a bit. We'll see though...
