As you might have seen from posts by Greg and Chris, the three of us went over to the Guntersville dam in search of Great Blue Herons last Saturday. Both of them have posted some excellent shots. It was overcast and rainy for most of the day, and so I decided to see what I could get out of some of my shots during the darker, rainy period.

I have some shots at ISO 1250 and 1600 that I'll post later. These were shot at ISO 400. They are essentially full frame (cropped just a tad to remove some space behind the legs). Not great, but not too bad. 8)

All shot with the D2H / 300mm f2.8 + TC-14EII.

Great series Frank, 1 is my fav but like the crop in #2. Man these things must be everywhere, just like crows are out here. LOL!!!! Dont mind me, Im jealous. Looks like I have to go back to Jasper this weekend!

Good ones Frank, I like the 1st one usually don't get to see the top side of a bird in flight like that...
