Getting PSE 5 to Recognize More Memory

Discussion in 'Retouching and Post Processing' started by Aqualung, Jul 12, 2007.

  1. When I installed PSE 5 on my PC, it only had 2GB of RAM. Recently, I upgraded to 4GB.

However, PSE apparently only shows 2GB, as the System Info dump shows:

    Adobe Photoshop Elements
    Core Version: 20060914.r.77
    Language Version: 20060914.r.77

    Current Catalog:
    Catalog Name: My Catalog.psa
    Catalog Location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Catalogs\
    Catalog Size: 371.9MB
    Catalog Cache Size: 573.4MB

    Operating System Name: XP
Operating System Version: 5.1 Service Pack 2
System Architecture: Intel CPU Family:6 Model:15 Stepping:6 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP
    Built-in Memory: 2GB
    Free Memory: 1.4GB

Short of an un-install / re-install, can anyone tell me how to get PSE to recognize the add'l 2GB?
