  1. No golf yesterday, it rained
So I went to a volleyball game of a friend's daughter.

My first experience with an indoor arena - fairly low light of ugly quality (sodium). Got to play a bit with custom WB and high-ISO.

    Pep talk with the coach

We got it coach!! (yeah, right  )

    Very nice shots Frits:>))))

May I ask what lens you used...please
  3. Thanks Gale!
    For these I used the AF 85mm f/1.4D (@ f/1.8), except for the team picture for which I used the Ai-S 35mm f/1.4 (@ f/2).
  4. Very nice set in challenging lighting conditions!

may i suggest tighting the crops and bumping the USM
  7. Yeah, I agree that they are not the sharpest Randy...mostly due to being @ ISO 400
  8. Frits, I need to mail you my 85 1.4....... it doesn't behave in quite the same manner as yours when its asked to do a little shooting with me. :~(
Maybe you could straighten it out.

These are well done Frits. I think that the blue walls actually improve the interest in this series. You did a real nice job dealing with ambient lighting that was far less than appealing.
  10. Thanks Frank! I conscientiously positioned myself to have the blue wall in the back, at least most of the time. The white sidewalls of the arena were awful!
