Glass Art in the Making

  1. I thought these came out kind of interesting- D700 & Sigma 150 macro. Spot metered off the flames.

  6. those are great Jeff. When you say spot metered off the flames, can you be more specific? Like on the last one, are you talking the blue flame (and in there, the bright white line at the base) or in the yellow (and in there, where, hitting the glass?)
  7. Oh I love glass making pics, beautiful shots, really cool, and very sharp. Got to love that 700.

    Chris- I checked in NX- the focus/metering point on the last shot was in the middle of that piece of illuminated glass on the bottom.

  13. Interesting shots. I love the idea of spot metering off of the flames. I wish more photography today was done in camera compared to in photoshop. I think #2 is the best, it has the best diagonals and composition. All are great but I think the second one would be most popular.
