This is a tricky question:
What´s the best lense to depict the confluence of people in la Rambla, Barcelone?

If you're just going to be meandering La Rambla, a good street telephoto like the 85mm f/1.8 or 70-200 VR could work wonders. If, however, you plan to visit ANY of Gaudi's masterpieces (Casa Batllo, Segrada Familia, Parc Gruel, etc.), take something wide with low distortion like the Tokina 12-24. My Sigma 10-20 was my most used lens in Barcelona last summer.
