Skiers like to dream about that first ski on the lake when the undisturbed water is like a sheet of glass. These were morning coffee on the dock photos. Please forgive the iphone pics.

Looks heavenly!! The iPhone photos are wonderful!
Thanks, Terri. You will be a your lake very soon! Hang in there.

Here's one more quickly taken through a screened door.

Gorgeous lake and what a wonderful view to enjoy while sipping one's coffee! Mmmmm.....

Brings back memories of when my mother and I would get up really early (and neither of us was a morning person!) so that we could get out on the lake and I could have a nice time skiing, the smooth, glassy lake all to myself.... Usually by later in the morning or early afternoon the lake would be crowded with lots of boats, lots of skiers and lots of choppy water! Nice memories, that early-morning skiing fun!

These are very nice Mitch. Made me think once again about perhaps buying an iPhone but, unfortunately, it would be the same for me as buying a camera without a viewfinder. Point and hope, as I wouldn't be able to see what I was doing unless I kept popping specs on and off.

As a float plane pilot, glassy lakes are a real problem. All you can see from overhead is a reflection of the sky, and it is difficult to see how high you are above the water. It is also difficult to get off glassy water to take off. A bit of wind helps break the surface tension.
