While Runningbacks may be better suited on terra firma, they sure do make a neat sight catching air.

why put your arm down? seems like a good way to get it broke

very nice capture
RBs put the hand down to try and stay in play. If they land with just hand and feet, they can recover and continue to run. Any other body part hits the ground, play over....

That's correct. The hand goes down so that they may find the appropriate leverage with which to regain their footing. Suffice it to say, this player was down when he landed.
