Golden Girl

Discussion in 'People' started by Uncle Frank, Nov 18, 2005.

  1. I find my camera always falls in love with one of the subjects when I shoot a wedding. Usually it's with the bride, or one of the adorable flower girls. This time, it was with a bridesmaid.

  5. Is she married?

By that I mean perhaps you should shoot her wedding someday!

    Great job, by the way.
  6. The lens is just a fine instrument. It must be the photographer.
  7. No, but you are - lol!

And you better remember it, Ed .
  8. Actually, the d70 seems to have a mind of its own, Phil. It demands I put the 28-70 lens on it, and then it drags me around and points itself at pretty girls.

Do you think it's some form of Artificial Intelligence   ???
  9. And let's hope that Nikon has installed an even better version in the D200.
  10. What a looker , that smile seems to have a bit of devil in it... Great job with the wedding Frank, first rate job, you should be pleased with your work
  11. Great subjects + excellent photographer = wow.

Frank - how do you have your flash set up - very nice results.
  12. Yep,

sometimes you just find a subject that makes it really hard to get a bad shot; even if your D200 hasn't yet arrived.

  15. After seeing all the beauiful girls/women, I've decided to:

Exercise and get buff- lose 10 pounds
Find the fountain of youth- lose 30 years
    Move to Arizona.
  16. I use the Lumiquest softbox, and a CB Junior flash bracket, Rory. It makes it hard to be stealthy...

... but the combo works out well as a single flash event photography solution. The softbox lets me shoot the flash directly at the subject without too much scorching, and the bracket helps minimize shadows behind the subjects, particularly in portrait mode.
