Gonna like my D60, 30/1.4 "Nute-tonian Point and Shoot"

Discussion in 'Lens Lust' started by craig.martell, Sep 23, 2008.

  1. Thanks for the idea Nute. This is one light rig that seems capable of great results. I just got my Sigma from Amazon, and it looks like I don't have any focusing problems. I will experiment this week to be sure. The focal point was essentially on the eye brow. (I know, I know, the shoulder is definitely in the way.)

    Camera: Nikon D60
    Lens: Sigma 30 f/1.4
    Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1000)
    Aperture: f/1.4
    Focal Length: 30 mm
    ISO Speed: 100

Nice shot Craig. May I ask exactly where you are from? I'm pretty sure I live near lol.
  6. Jay,

I live in San Juan Bautista -- just up the 101 from you. I write "Central Coast" because we live in San Juan, I work in Monterey, my wife works in Sunnyvale, I have colleagues that I work with at UC Santa Cruz, and we play tennis in Aptos. So, pretty much "Central Coast".

  8. Thanks Nute.

BTW, I have decided that we should change the name of this combo to the:

Nute-tonian Point and Shoot  !

What do you think? And I think the "cool" icon has to be included in the official name .

  9. Love the name! LOL! Someday I may have a Nute-tonian, but for now I just carry my D700 in my purse.
