Good bye Olympus PEN, it was fun while it lasted...

Just packed up and shipped off my E-PM1, 14-42MKIIR, and Panny 14/2.5. I loved the way it looked and felt. But unfortunatly a good looking camera can only do so much, and I was just never crazy about the output. For the most part I was happy with the images out of it but I was never 100% satisfied with it. The handling was marginal at best, OK for casual point and shooting but I often found the handling lacking. For whatever reason, reasons I can't quite 100% put my finger on, I was just never happy with it. So now it's off to greener pastures. Farewell Olympus E-PM1. You were a great platform for my 55 Micro Nikkor. But alas Non-Nikon mu43 fans don't fret. She has been traded for a Panasonic G5. I admit I really wanted the GX1 but the offer came in for the G5 and even though I wanted a small rangefinder style body the thoughts of getting a more advanced mu43 body over my E-PM1 was just too hard to resist. We'll see if I grow to like the G5, or if I'll end up trading it for the GX1 I originally coveted.

John (Mematsu) has demonstrated the wonderful images the g5 can deliver. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. But if you don't, just sell it. These cameras are supposed to make us happy.
